Rahul is a part-time politician: BJP

Telangana BJP Mahila Morcha president Padmaja Reddy has said TRS MP Kavitha’s remarks against Union Minister Bandaru Dattatraya over the death of Hyderabad Central University student Rohith were not correct.

Speaking to mediapersons here on Wednesday, Padmaja Reddy sought a judicial probe to unravel the mystery behind HCU student Rohith’s suicide. She felt many issues, including personal problems might have prompted Rohith to resort to extreme action of committing suicide.

While the Union government was spending several crores of rupees on Universities for developing the infrastructure and to provide global opportunities to the students, but the student organizations were doing politics on the campuses in the name of caste and religion, she said, adding that political parties were politicizing the Rohith suicide issue for their political mileage.

Mahila Morcha member Aruna said jobless political leaders were coming to Hyderabad and politicising Rohith’s death and criticizing the Centre. TRS MP Kavitha, who was keen on becoming a Union Minister was unnecessarily blaming Bandaru Dattatraya for his letter to the HRD Minister. The TRS would use Rohith death issue in GHMC elections, she added.

Andhra Pradesh BJP Yuva Morcha president S. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy urged the Centre and the State government to order probe into Rohith’s death issue on the basis of his suicidenote. He also charged the Congress party with politicizing Rohith death to get political mileage from the Muslim and SC/ST people. He slammed the TRS for blaming the BJP for sake of votes in the GHMC elections. (NSS)
