Rahul meets state MPs

AICC Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Thursday held hour-long discussions with Congress MPs from the State.

Rahul has asked the MPs to strengthen the party in the local bodies elections and has enquired about political developments in the state, Amalapuram MP Harsha Kumar told media after the meeting.

There were also complaints against the style of functioning of Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and the wedge between the party had the government has increased, some of the MPs told the Party Vice President.

The issue of Telangana has also come up for discussion and a separate meeting will be called to tackle the issue, Karimnagar MP Ponnam Prabhakar said. Dalit issue and categorization also came up for discussion, Nagarkurnool MP Manda Jagannadhan said. (INN)
