New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday hit back at Rahul Gandhi for his criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying the said the Congress vice president was trying hard to make his ‘presence’ felt by making unwarranted statements.
“As far as scams are concerned, had Rahul Gandhi spoken at least ten percent of it in the UPA tenure, many scams would have not taken place. The Prime Minister doesn’t go for vacations on visits, he is engaged in work. Rahul Gandhi is only trying to register his presence through such statements,” said BJP spokesperson Nalin Kohli.
Gandhi had earlier reminded Prime Minister Modi of implementing his promise to end corruption in the country.
“Our Prime Minister had said that ‘na khaoonga na khaane doonga’. Then why isn’t he stopping the rampant corruption in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Why isn’t he getting Lalit Modi back?”he asked. (ANI)
