Rahul Gandhi can become Prime Minister; what’s wrong in it? Shashi Tharoor

Lucknow: Chairman All India Congress Professional (AIPF) and senior Congress leader Dr Shashi Tharoor clarified that Congress National president Rahul Gandhi did not say that only he will become prime minister of the country in 2019. But answering to a question, Congress national president said if our party emerges as the single largest party, then he would definitely like to become prime minister. Tharoor said it is part of our parliamentary system that the party which gets the majority of seats is entitled to choose the prime minister. There is nothing new or wrong in that. Shashi Tharoor said this during a press conference in Congress office.

Commenting upon the uproar of in AMU, Shashi Tharoor said some foreign miscreants barged into AMU premises and created chaos. It is a direct attack on democracy. He lamented that this occurred for the first time that police supported miscreants. He said Jinnah’s portrait is there in AMU since 1938, it is clear that the controversy is nothing but cheap politics.
