New Delhi:Amid uncertainty over seat sharing in the ‘mahagathbandhan’ (grand alliance) in Bihar, Congress President Rahul Gandhi is likely to address a rally in Purnea district on March 23.

Rahul Gandhi will officially kickstart the ‘grand alliance’ campaign for the Lok Sabha polls.

According to Congress leaders, all leaders of the ‘grand alliance’ will attend Rahul Gandhi’s rally in Purnea. “By the time of rally after Holi, seat sharing will be settled and the rally will showcase the face of unity among the allies.

The Purnea parliamentary constituency in Seemanchal region is considered a stronghold of the ‘grand alliance’. Other constituencies in the region are Kishanganj, Araria and Katihar. All three were won by Congress and RJD last time.

In 2014 Purnea seat was won by JD-U which had gone it alone. However, it won only two seats, including Purnea and Nakanda.
