Dubai: Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Friday began his two-day maiden visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with a breakfast meeting with business leaders here.
Gandhi, who reached here on Thursday night, held talks with the business leaders from the country accompanied by Indian Overseas Congress chairman Sam Pitroda.
He also interacted with hundreds of Indian workers at a labour accommodation in Jebel Ali.
“I am here to listen to what you all have to say,” said Gandhi.
A part of his global outreach programme ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, Gandhi will also hold talks with UAE Ministers besides addressing the larger Indian expat community including students.
