Union minister of Minority Affairs Mr. Rahman Khan hailed government measures for the development of minorities in Andhra Pradesh and termed the budget plan promising. Mr. Rahman Khan who is on his visit to Hyderabad met secretary/director Urdu Academy Prof. S A Shukoor and got acquainted with various schemes in the state.
Since minority welfare minister Mr. Syed Mohammed Ahmedullah, principal secretary Minority Welfare I Rani Kumudini and Commissioner Minority Welfare M A Waheed were out of station, Prof. S A Shukoor represented Minority Welfare Department and met Mr. Rahman Khan.
Mr. Khan told that minority welfare budget of Andhra Pradesh was 489 crore which is proposed to increased upto 1000 crore in 2013-14.
