Rahman Khan assures appropriate funds to AP

State Minister for Minority Welfare, Auqaf and Urdu Academy Mohammed Ahmedullah called on Union Minority Welfare Minister Mr. Rahman Khan in New Delhi and explained him the details of central schemes for the minorities of Andhra Pradesh State. Mr. Ahmedullah requested for additional funds towards Maulana Abdul Kalam Azad Educational Foundation for the establishments of schools for minority students in rural areas of the state. He also requested to increase pre-matric scholarship provided by the Govt. of India to students of 6th to 10th class upto Rs. 5000 per year. State minister also appealed to increase loan amount provided by National Minority Development Finance Corporation so that Muslims in Andhra Pradesh can establish small industries.

Union Minority Welfare Minister Mr. Rahman Khan responded positively on the request and asked the state government to sent proposals in this connection. He assured that union ministry will provide appropriate funds to Andhra Pradesh state.
