Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s manager killed

Detroit, May 09: Pakistani singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s manager Chitresh Shrivastav has been killed in a car crash in the US.

The singer, who is currently on tour in the US, was travelling in another car when the incident occurred on Saturday, according to Media.

The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department confirmed Shrivastava, of Mumbai, died in Saturday’s crash, which happened about 12:50 p.m. on Interstate 94 in Emmett Township, about 100 miles west of Detroit.

The SUV he was travelling in went into a ditch and rolled over several times.

Four others travelling in the car were injured. The group was travelling from Detroit for a show in suburban Chicago.

Shrivastav is believed to be the brother of popular Indian music director Aadesh Shrivastav.

Earlier in February, Khan was detained at an airport in New Delhi for carrying $124,000, an amount larger than is permissible under Indian law.
The 37-year-old, well-known in both India and Pakistan, is the nephew of legendary singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.

An event organiser said Khan performed Friday night in Detroit and went through with his Saturday night performance.
