Demanding the Telangana State government to order a CBI inquiry into the ‘note for vote’ episode, Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president N Raghuveera Reddy has said that it is not proper for Chief Minister N Chandrababu naidu to launch counter attacks on the issue of Revanth Reddy.
Speaking to the media at Indira Bhavan here on Thursday, Raghuveera Reddy questioned Chandrababu Naidu to come out openly and say whether he had a role in it or not, and advised the latter that one could not become a clean man by indulging in counter attacks. He said that it is ridiculous that Chandrababu Naidu made the people to take a pledge in Nava Nirmana Deeksha on anti-corruption.
Finding fault with Chandrababu Naidu for asking TRS, which has only 63 MLAs, as to how it could field five candidates, Raghuveera questioned the former as to how he has fielded T-TDP candidate when they have only 14 MLAs. He alleged that Chandrababu Naidu was a corrupt man.
Reddy said that Chandrababu got zero marks for his rule in Andhra Pradesh, but he got 200 marks out of 100 marks in corruption. He said that the real face of Chandrababu government was coming out slowly, and alleged that the TDP kept apart Rs.100 crore for one MLC seat, and the TDP was ready to bribe its own party MLAs. The TDP organized the Mahanaadu in Hyderabad City, keeping the GHMC elections in view, he pointed out and said that Congress party was not fielding its candidates in Local Bodies MLC elections. He said that his party was not having adequate strength, and at the same time the party will not extend its support to any party. Alleging that both Chandrababu Naidu and K Chandrashekara Rao were from the same school, Raghuveera said that both the leaders were provoking the people in the name of sentiment and division. (NSS)
