Suspended TRS senior leader Raghunandan Rao on Wednesday lambasted the party chief K Chandrasekhara Rao.
Talking to the media at the Bashirbagh Press Club here, he charged that KCR and other TRS leaders were not as much interested in Telangana as they were in making money. Challenging the charge that he was indulging in anti-party activities and that the party was receiving complaints against him from all the districts, he challenged KCR to prove the charges within 48 hours. He said if he failed to prove the charges, he would release the CDs containing evidence to all the illegal transactions and corruption of KCR and other party leaders in the same press club after 48 hours.
Stating that it was he who attacked all those who criticized KCR, he questioned if that was his fault. Claiming that he has been working day and night for Telangana, he questioned if that could be called betrayal. He said KCR, Harish rao, KTR, Kavita and Nayani Narasimha Reddy should state what was betrayal of the Telangana cause meant. He claimed that he never violated party discipline, and questioned why he was never given even a show cause notice if he had violated party discipline.
Stating that he had the histories of all the leaders with him, Raghu Nandan said he would disclose all their stories before the public if they do not retract on his suspension. Stating that he knew every transaction, he said he would divulge all the information about the kickbacks received, with cheque numbers. He said he was ready to discuss the matter on any platform with any leader. He said he knew how much KCR received to suspend him at midnight and who asked him to suspend him. Stating that some snakes were sneaking into the anthill they all built for Telangana, he questioned how KK Mahender Reddy, Jitta Bala Krishna Reddy and Raghu Nandan Rao were sent out of the party while Telangana betrayers like Kadiyam Srihari and Gangula Kamalakar Rao were taken into the party.
Raghunandan Rao said some leaders who were with other parties in 2004 and 2009 were now coming into TRS as the movement had strengthened. Stating that he warned KCR not to allow snakes like Kadiyam to enter the party, he said there was need for KCR to explain why he had permitted him to join the party. He also dismissed reports that he had met the TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu. Referring to the old adage that a dog has to be branded mad, if it was to be killed, Raghunandan Rao said KCR was making only such attempts to send him out, by making weird charges against him.
SUSPENSION AFTER MIDNIGHT
Raghu Nandan Rao has alleged that Harish Rao defeated him in the MLC elections when he contested as the candidate of the grand alliance and even tried to defeat KTR in Sircilla. He said Harish Rao developed grudge against him as he opposed his attempts to remove KCR and occupy his seat as the TRS chief.
Referring to his suspension after midnight, he sarcastically questioned if KCR receives complaints only after 10 PM. He asked the people of Telangana to understand what happened as his suspension occurred after 10 in the night. He warned KCR that his ‘Mad Dog’ theory would not work out on him.
Calling KCR a timid guy, Raghunandan Rao said he had not the guts to talk to any one face to face. He questioned why Prof. Jaya Sankar was not made Rajya Sabha member when he was alive. He said he knew how KCR abused the Telangana JAC convener Prof. Kodandaram. He said if KCR was trying to make baseless allegations as he was dong against others, it would not work out in his case.
