Raees box office collection day 13: Shah Rukh Khan film has reportedly collected Rs 146 crore

Shah Rukh Khan’s recent release Raees and its box office success is no secret. The film has collected approximately Rs 3crore in the domestic market on the second Monday since its release on 25 January,  taking its 13 days. The movie now stands at a grand total of over Rs 146 crore.

When a film has the face of superstar Shah Rukh Khan, it is a known fact that the film is bound to succeed. Shah Rukh Khan’s powerful performance in Rahul Dholakia direction is slowly emerging a bigger winner, while continuously surpassing all bars.

Raees is set in 1980’s Gujarat and is reportedly inspired by bootlegger Abdul Latif. The film follows the rise of Shah Rukh as a local mafia and eventually sees his downfall. The film also has Nawazuddin Siddiqui who is seen as a determined cop. The hard hitting dialogues and a catchy music further made to the publicity of Raees. The film also marks the Bollywood debut of Pakistani actor  Mahira Khan.

Kaabil in comparision to Raees is lagging behind. Raees has stayed ahead of Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil at both domestic and international box office till now. The clash between Raees and Kaabil was touted as one of the biggest of 2017 and it truly lived up to its name.
