Former MLA Vangaveeti Radha Krishna, who recently joined the YSR Congress has said that TDP was finished in politics.
Talking to media persons here today, Radha Krishna said that people were not giving credence to the baseless allegations of TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu against Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy. He also faulted the TDP for giving show-cause notice to its Vijayawada Urban unit president Vallabhaneni Vamsi for a casual meeting with Jagan. Stating that he had met Chandrababu Naidu n 2004, he said no one gave him any notice then.
Explaining reasons for joining Jagan’s party, he said what he liked in Jagan was his trustworthiness. He added that all his supporters had approved his decision. Radha said though the Congress party transformed sympathy generated by his father Ranga’s death as votes, some leaders had tried to suppress him, but at that time late Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy stood by him. He said that he was constrained to leave Congress because of the hostile attitude of some of the leaders. He reminded that though he joined the Praja Rajyam Party of Chiranjeevi, he never uttered a word against the late chief minister.
He lamented that those who grew politically because of YSR were now making wild allegations against him, for their own political survival. Stating that the people were observing all these turncoats, Radha said every one who loved his late father Mohana Ranga would now support Jagan. No one in the Congress now has any future, he added.
Stating that YSR ruled the State rising above caste and religious constraints, he said it was mean politics to talk about Jagan’s caste or religion. On Chiranjeevi, Radha said that he was innocent and was misled. He said that his father Ranga, who worked in a cycle shop, became a big leader because the people saw trustworthiness in him. He said neither his father, nor YSR had not grown in stature by back-stabbing others. He said Jagan was dashing ahead, because of the trust people reposed in him. (NSS)
