Task Force police arrested two persons on Monday for making fake education certificates at Kanchanbagh and Santoshnagar. Police seized several fake mark sheets for various courses affiliated to Osmania University, and also fake memos for SSC and Board of Intermediate.
The accused Qutubuddin Khan and Abdul Khadeer, the owner of a photocopy centre and the other is a private tutor. Based on the information given by Khadeer, police arrested Khan from his house at Santoshnagar. They also seized a desktop, a colour printer-cum-scanner, 30 fake stamps of various universities from the culprits.
“The gang used to charge Rs 25,000 for each fake certificate,” said Task Force additional deputy commissioner of police N Koti Reddy.
