Rachakonda police install 12 CCTV cameras in Hajipur to curb criminals

Hyderabad: Today Rachakonda CP Mahesh M Bhagwat, IPS, along with Anitha Ramachandran, IAS, District Collector, Yadadri Bhongir, inaugurated 12 CCTV cameras at Hajipur village under Bommala Ramaram mandal installed at a cost of Rs 10.6 lakh as promised after the disgusting incidents occurred in the village a month ago. Sarpanch Jyothi and Hajipur villagers expressed their gratitude to the police for fulfilling every promise they made earlier.

The CP had promised last month to the people of Hazipur village that he will get CCTV cameras installed in the village for effective tracking of anti- social elements and their activities. After the inauguration, Mahesh Bhagwat addressed the locals and told them that the CC cameras are their property and should take care of them as they have been installed for their safety. He also said cameras will work 24×7 with a back up of 30 days with an hour of power back up with UPS in case of power failure.

He also said each CCTV camera is equal to 100 policemen. He also said the villagers can report their problems to local officers or to him directly in Praja Darbar at Neredmet CP office. Public can also make complaint through WhatsApp to +91 94906 17111. He also said the Rachakonda police was committed to development of Hazipur village. With the initiation of CP, RTC bus services have been started. The roads of the villages would also be renovated in the coming months. The cameras have been connected to a network video recorder and 47-inch monitor with UPS at GP office in the village. The cost of the cameras was around Rs 10.6 lakh.

Bhongir DCP Narayan Reddy, ACP Bhujanga Rao, IT cell Inspector Sridhar, Bhongir Rural CI Surender and Tahsildar and SI Bommala Ramaram participated in the event.
