Rachakonda PC detains 3 gangsters under PD Act

Rachakonda Police Commissioner today ordered detention of three former Maoists, who indulged in extortion and kidnappings, land settlements by threatening innocent business people and landlords at the point of air pistols under the limits of Jawaharnagar and Kushaiguda police stations under Rachakonda Police Commissionerate and Jagadevpur police station of Siddipet Commissionerate.

 

In the ongoing drive against offenders under Rachakonda Police Commissionerate, the Commissioner has detained three notorious gang members — Bolla Narsimhulu with many aliases, Oruganti Sammaiah alias Kathula Sammaiah alias Sampath and Akkaram Krishna, who committed nine offences of extortion and kidnapping under the limits of Jawaharnagar, Kushaiguda, Nacharam Police Stations of Rachakonda Commissionerate and Jagadevpur Police Station of Siddipet Commissionerate.

In a pressnote here on Wednesday, the PC said the gangsters threatened innocent business people and Real Estate business people by threatening them at the point of air gun posing themselves as Maoists. They demanded and collected huge amounts from the business people and Realtors in the name of Maoist Party Fund. They threatened them with death if they failed to accept their demands.

The offenders were arrested by Jawaharnagar Police on October 8, 2016 and November 23 respectively in Cr. No.691/2016 U/s 387 IPC and Sec.25 (1)(B) (a) and 27 Arms Act, 1989 of Jawaharnagar PS and remanded them to judicial custody. The offenders used to make threatening cell phone calls to the innocent business people and real estate business people, demand huge amounts in the name of Maoist Party fund and have operated their criminal activities in the limits of Rachakonda and Siddipet Police Commissionerates.

The acts of the notorious gang members have been prejudicial to the maintenance of public order and unless they are kept out of the society for a considerable period by detaining them in the prison under this Act, to prevent them to commit such offences, public order and confidence of public in the law cannot be restored.

 

Under the circumstances, Preventive Detention orders were invoked against the offenders by Mahesh M.Bhagwat, IPS, as a part of preservation of peace and maintaining public order under the limits of Rachakonda Commissionerate area.

A-1 is Bolla Narsimhlu @ Narsimha @ Saleem @ Srinanna, S/o Bolla Maisaiah,

30 years, Mudiraj, Mason and resident of o Gandhamalla village under Turkapally Mandal, Yadadri-Bhongir District. He was involved in nine cases of extortion and kidnapping cases.

Accused No. 2 is Oruganti Sammaiah @ Kathula Sammaiah @ Sampath, son of late Ilaiah, 50, Agriculture, Golla, resident of Kanakalagidde village under Huzurabad Mandal of Karimnagar district. He reportedly developed relationship with for Maoists and have been settling disputes by holding Panchayats. He was involved in nine extortion and kidnapping cases.

A-3 is Akkaram Krishna, 32, Rajaka, Real Estate Business, resident of Veerareddypally village under Turkapally Mandal of Yadadri Bhongir District. He was involved in four offences of extortion and kidnappings. (NSS)
