Qutub Shahi Mosque in Papireddyguda in Shadnagar rehabilitated

The peace and tranquility which the activists of Deccan Wakf Property Protection Society get when they bow their foreheads in front of Allah in the remote areas of uninhabited mosques after restoring them with great struggles and efforts, is beyond description. Only those who encounter such incidents can feel it. This is the reason that when they get any information about an inhabited mosque they rush to see it.

They clean it and organize five times prayers in such mosques. These youths have undertaken journeys of miles and miles to restore such old mosque. Recently, they reached an uninhabited mosque located at Papireddy village of Shadnagar Mandal in Mahboobnagar District. When this caravan reached the village, the local residents saw them with surprise.

They thought that they have come for treasure hunt. When it was told to the non-Muslim residents that they have come to inhabit the abandoned mosque, they also agreed to cooperate in their efforts.

Mr. Dattareya, Advocate and Mr. Mohammed Jahangir helped them to rehabilate the mosque. This mosque is located at Keshampet Road, three Km away from Noor College of Educaiton. The shrine of Hazrath Awaaaz Miyan Padkal is found near the mosque. Traces of an Edigah were also found nearby. The members of the society cleaned the area and made arrangements for Friday prayer. Mr. Mohammed Adul Majeed Noor delivered the Friday sermon in which he advised the Muslims to inhabit the Mosques and also to inculcate the sense of unity.

Mr. Osman Bin Mohammed Al-Hajiri told that only those Muslims inhabit the mosques who have firm belief in Allah. He said that hundreds of mosques are waiting to hear the proclamation of the unity of Allah and the worship of his creatures. He advised the local residents to keep these Mosques inhabited and maintain the piety of the mosque, graveyard and the Eidgah.

Mr. Osman thanked AP Wakf Board that it is cooperating in restoring and inhabiting the old and abandoned Mosques. Mr. Ghouse Mohiuddin, inspector of Mahboobnagar inspected the Mosque and promised that he would take appropriate action after examining wakf records. Mr. Baba Bhai, president of Fruit Merchants, Association cooperated in the work of rehabilitation of the old Mosques.

Cows and Buffaloes were being tied up in the premises of this mosque. The other persons who participated in cleaning of the mosque were Mr. Maqbool Bin Abdullah Al-Hajiri, Mr. Khalid Al-Hajiri, Mr. Abdul Aziz Bamak Boos, Mr. Mohammed Zia, Mr. Kashif Baba, Mr. Salahuddin, Mr. Farooq Mirza, Mr. Majeed Noor, Mr.Junaid Mr. Jehangir and others.
