Qutub Shahi Masjid Ibrahim Bagh restored

Siasat Daily has always been in the forefront to restore historical monuments especially Masajid. As part of this struggle Siasat had published reports on regular intervals regarding negligence of archeological department towards a Qutub Shahi Masjid located at Ibrahim Bagh. The Qutub Shahi masjid is the replica of Makkah Masjid but has no minarets as the Qutub Shahi rule came to end before the Masjid was constructed.

The first report was published in Siasat Daily on October 22, 2009 following which the locals cleans the masjid however the masjid is constructed at a height of 100 ft from ground level hence steps were needed to reach the masjid. In the next stage steps were constructed leading to the masjid. After constant efforts by Siasat daily iron grills were erected to cordon off the masjid. Finally Siasat’s efforts to restore the masjid bore fruits and archeological department sanctioned a whopping budget to renovate the masjid and restore the lost glory of its arches. Now prayers are offered in the masjid.
