It is quite difficult to understand whether the staff of Urdu university, established with the objective of promotion and development of Urdu and to provide higher educational opportunities to Urdu speaking persons, is playing its role for the development of university or leaving no stone unturned to destroy it.
Reports of corruption and irregularities prevalent in Maulana Azad National University are common and demands have been made repeatedly to conduct probe into recruitment of staff but now question is also being raised on the standard of education of Maulana Azad National University. Students of distance education are deprived of syllabus books even after completion of half of the academic year. When the university officials were asked in this regard they told that it was not university’s fault but the publishing house which was given the responsibility has delayed publication and dispatch. This shows how careless the university officials are in case of their demand.
It has been told that students have to attend 40 classes during an academic year and 20 classes are over without syllabus books so far.
