TDP senior leader Mothkupalli Narasimhulu today chided Telangana Political JAC convener Prof. Kodandaram for targeting his party and its president Chandrababu Naidu on the Telangana issue, instead of questioning TRS chief K Chandrasekhara Rao and the Congress.
Talking to the media here on Sunday, Motkupalli reminded that Naidu had written a letter expressing consent for separate Telangana as long back as 2008 and had also written to Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh recently as desired by Telangana protagonists, asking him to convene an all-party meeting. He warned Prof. Kodandaram not to obstruct the ongoing ‘Vasthunna Meekosam’ Padayatra in the Telangana region. He also made it clear once again that the TDP was not at all against creation of Telangana State.
Alleging that KCR was misusing the Telangana issue, he questioned the former as what he had achieved by camping in Delhi for more than a month. He said Prof. Kodandaram, who was threatening to disrupt Naidu’s yatra should first question the Congress and the TRS. He said that ever since the TRS was formed for separate Telangana State, KCR has been duping the people by setting deadlines for Telangana. He also warned that his party would not remain a mute spectator if Naidu’s Yatra was obstructed. He further alleged that though the entire family of KCR was getting benefits through the Telangana movement, Prof. Kodandaram had no guts to question them. He also questioned why the TRS and KCR were not demanding an all-party meeting on the Telangana issue. He said that Prof. Kodandaram should question KCR as he had said that Telangana would be a reality by Dasara. (NSS)
