Legislative Council members have been taken aback when a question regarding Urdu was answered in Telugu language. Responsibility of replying to the question regarding Urdu was given to Finance Minister E Rajendra, instead of Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali. Although the question was related to the Chief Minister but Finance Minister replied to the question while Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Ali was present in the house.
When the turn of answering question raised by Mohammed Ali Shabbir arrived, Council Chairman Swami Goud called the name of Deputy Chief Minister to reply, however Finance Minister told that the responsibility of answering the question has been given to him. E Rajendra answered the question regarding development of Urdu in Telugu language. On one occasion Deputy Chief Minister intervened however chairperson stopped him saying that he was not the relevant minister.
