Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao today said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has approved to fill up 106 AE posts and will up more in future in the department to speed up the projects with quality.
Stating that the NAC trained workers should be paid more by the builders he said that the government is keen on maintaining quality in construction works. Besides filling up the posts, promotions will be offered to the employees and due recognition will be given to those sincere and will not hesitate to take action against those who are negligent he warned. He held a review meeting with NAC officials and asked them to not to compromise on quality of the projects.
The minister approved an action plan and budget for 2017-18. A total of 16,250 programs planned to complete by hiring 469 persons as per the plan. KCR has offered several projects to the Roads and Buildings department with great confidence for quality and standards he said. The state government will offer free training and impart skills among rural people aged 18 to 55 years and provide employment in construction industry through National Academy of Construction (NAC).
He said that the workers hired for the projects are less paid. Builders should offer more wages and salaries to the people working for their projects the minister suggested. Those getting training from NAC are able to get employment in the construction industry he said. The officials should be cautious that quality should be maintained in each and every project being taken up. (NSS)
