Quake rocks North and AP too

Earth quake in Afghanistan, Nepal, and Indonesia on Tuesday caused tremors in Andhra Pradesh also at many places like Kakinada, Rajahmundry, Amalapuram in East Godavari district and Bhavanipuram, Gollapudi in Krishna district.
The quake showed its impact in Krishna, Guntur, Visakhapatnam and Srikakulam districts. Panicked by tremors, people scooted out of their homes to save their lives as they felt their houses were shaking. According to reports, there was no loss of life or property. It is learnt the earthquake occurred for 10 minutes in Vijaywada and several places in Krishna district.
Besides, several parts of West Bengal, Bihar, Patna, Delhi were rocked by an earthquake, that had its epicentre in Nepal. Hundreds of people ran out of their homes, offices, metro stations and high rise buildings, and assembled on the streets. The tremors were felt in various parts, especially in Lake Town, Salt Lake, Dalhouise Square and Park Street area. The quake was felt at 12.35 pm, according to Meteorological department.
It may be mentioned here that the April 25 Earthquake had claimed over 8,000 lives in Nepal alone. Several people were also killed in India. (NSS)
