A public Qazi invited to perform the Nikah on the occasion of mass marriages conducted in Hyderabad city, set a bad very example and put blemish on the profession of Qazi. He left without performing poor girls’ Nikah. Head Qazi Yakutpura even stopped his naebs to perform Nikah of 6 poor and destitute girls.
Mass marriages were being conducted by Anjuman Falah-e-Muashera and it is alleged that the Qazi left without performing Nikah on monetary dispute.
Organizers of mass marriage told that Mahmood Qureshi, by creating dispute over trivial matter, refused to perform Nikah of poor girls scheduled at Sayeed Villa function hall. The organizers also send a 3-member delegation for reconciliation, but in vain and also called him on phone a number of times.
Meanwhile Qazi Mohammed Azmatullah Jaffery was informed, on which he immediately reached Sayeed Villa and performed the Nikah. This act of Qazi Mahmood Qureshi has brought disgrace to the profession of Qazi.
