A Historic documentary film, portraying the life and virtues of Honorable late Qaaid-e- Millath Saahib, was released in Kuwait on Thursday, January 08. 2015.
Muhammad Ismail (1896–1972) was an influential Indian politician belonging to the Indian Union Muslim League. He was a member of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly, and a member of the Indian Parliament adoring both the houses of Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha. He was also a member of the Indian Constituent Assembly which framed the Indian Constitution. He is popularly known in his native states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala by the title Qaaid-e-Millath or the “Leader of the Nation”.

The program was initiated and organized by the Kuwait Tamil Islamic Committee (K- TIC), whose executive members are key associates in forming Qaaid-e-Millath Forum in Kuwait along with members of the Indian Union Muslim League, Tamilnadu State.
This documentary movie, was produced by Muslim League Publication, and was directed by Aloor Sha Nawaas, renowned as “Ilam Oodaga Pooraalee” (Young Media Gladiator) a title conferred by K- TIC during his first visit to Kuwait. He was further designated as “AavanappadaAalunar” (Biopic Commandant), in the Grand Seerathun-Nabi (SAW) Convention, held at Masjid Al Kabeer on January 02, 2015.
The documentary was screened at the “Sirajul Millath” hall at Rowdha. This event was presided over by K- TIC President, Moulvi Al-Haaj M.S. Muhammad Meera Sha Fazil Baaqavee. The program started with Qur’anic Recitation. by Vice-President Moulvi Muhammad Nizamudeen Baaqavee. General Secretary Moulvi A.B. Khaleel Ahmed Baaqavee anchored the program while, General Secretary Al-Haaj A.K.S. Abdul Nazar welcomed the gathering.
Delivering the keynote address, the Director of the Film, Mr. Aloor Sha Nawaas, mentioned the struggles in making the movie about this great leader,” whose roots are lost or forgotten by the young generation”.
He said, “This movie was created from zero to this level, so that it shall be an immense tribute to the noble leader. This is meant not only for Tamil speaking community or only for Muslims but for all regions all over India and for religious communities.
The movie enlightened the strengthening of early Indian Union Muslim League, when Qaaid-e-Millath, joined and served earnestly.
The spectators were astonished on knowing the truth and shed tears after watching the movie.
Executives of Indo-Kuwait Friendship Society, Kuwait Kerala Muslim Cultural Committee, Thaiman KalaiIlakkiya Peravai, Kuwait Tamizhosai Poet Association, Islamic Guidance Centre, and Tamil Nadu Islamic Student Association who were present commended the efforts on the making of the documentary and organizers of the event. Each one of them was presented with a DVD copy of the film.
Representatives of various Tamil Associations, businessmen, social workers, community activists, admired the mission of the Qaaid-e-Millath. The event concluded with vote of thanks and Dua’a by K-TIC Deputy Treasurer Al-Haaj H. Mohammed Nasar.
