India””s PV Sindhu has claimed the Kumpoo Macau Open Grand Prix Gold 2013 title after defeating Canadian shuttler Li Michelle 21-15, 21-12 in the final. Michelle did not provide much of a challenge to the World No.11 Sindhu although she was able to over come third seeded Hong Kong shuttler Pui Yin Yip in the semifinals. Sindhu got a bronze medal at the World Championships in August and in May; she won the Malaysia Open Grand Prix Gold title. She also played in the inaugural edition of the Indian Badminton League.
