Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy today paid rich tributes to former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao on his 94th birth anniversary.
Inaugurating a statue of PV at Veterinary College at Agriculture campus in Rajendranagar here, the minister said PV’s regime transformed India into a strong economic force. His services during the crisis period helped the nation overcome hurdles and ushered in new era of growth and progress, he recalled. PV was noted for introducing finance reforms in the nation that were emulated by others. PV who was noted for speaking fluently 14 languages steered the nation to a new high through his affable caliber, timely decisions and perseverance to resolve the issues at national level. He also said PV offered good governance with apt political knowledge and determination to press official machinery to implement welfare schemes when the Congress regime has poor majority at the Centre.
