Purvanchal Sena chief arrested over Kanhaiya posters

New Delhi: The Delhi Police on Monday arrested the president of little known Right Wing group ‘Purvanchal Sena’, Adarsh Sharma, for putting posters bearing a reward of Rs 11 lakh for killing JNUSU president Kanhaiya Kumar.

Sharma, was earlier in the day, detained by the police for questioning over the issue.

On Saturday, posters announcing Rs 11 lakh reward for shooting dead Kumar were seen stuck on a wall near Press Club of India and bus stops and metro stations in New Delhi.

The poster said “whosoever shoots JNU Students’ Union president and seditionist Kanhaiya will be rewarded Rs 11 lakh on the behalf of Purvanchal Sena”. (ANI)
