BJP leader and former union minister Daggupati Purandeshwari today filed her nomination papers for the Rajampet ( Kadapa district) parliamentary seat.
She filed her papers at the Kadapa district collectorate office before the district returning officer Sridhar. BJP senior leader M Venkaiah Naidu was also present at the time of filing of her nomination papers.
Later, speaking to the media, Purandeshwari, daughter of veteran TDP leader late N T Rama Rao, said that with the blessings of her parents, she is in the service of the people. She expressed the hope that she will win the Rajampet seat.
Earlier, before filing her nomination papers, Purandeshwari visited the Kanipakam Siddhi Vinayaka temple in Chittoor district and performed Ganesh Puja there.(NSS)
