Jalandhar, December 14: The Punjab government today introduced special relief to the flat allottees in improvement trust localities by enhancing site coverage percentage, to virtually regularise building bye-laws violations.
The move would enable thousands of such allottees in the state to get registration deeds executed in their favour as a majority of cases has been pending for 20-30 years, Local Bodies Minister Manoranjan Kalia said today while addressing a function here.
“I have instructed the JIT officials to conduct registration deeds of all flats holders even if the violation percentage is more than permitted. Let the flat be registered first while the issue regarding non-compoundable area can be settled afterwards. This will earn more revenue for us,” he added.
