Chandigarh, April 06: The Punjab government is planning to fill within two months all the vacant posts of college principals by promotion and direct recruitment.
Presiding over the meeting of Principals of all government colleges in the state here, Education Minister Sewa Singh Sekhwan today said the Punjab Government is committed to improving the education standard in government colleges.
He said that seniority list of lecturers is being finalised and within two months eligible lecturers would be promoted as Principals.
Principal Secretary Higher Education A R Talwar said that Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has also scheduled interviews in the 2nd week of May to recruit principals in the direct quota.
