Punishments would not deter me: Nawaz Sharif

London: Former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said punishments would not deter him and said he would return to Pakistan soon after his wife regains consciousness. He told this while addressing a press conference in London. Kulsoom Nawaz is suffering from cancer and is undergoing treatment in London.

The Dawn reported that Nawaz Sharif claimed that he was being punished because he was changing the legacy of Pakistan’s 70-year-old history.

It must be noted that Sharif was sentenced to 10 years of imprisonment and a fine of eight million pounds on Friday in the Avenfield. His daughter Maryam Nawaz who is also with him in London was sentenced to 7 years of jail and fined two million pounds.
