Pimpri Chinchwad: A 17-year-old girl was smothered to death and her body was buried under the shop at the Pimpri vegetable market.
Police has charged a man aged 37 years from Milindnagar for killing the girl.
Though the suspect was booked he complained of ill-health and was shifted to a private hospital in Pimpri.
The Police exhumed girls body after digging the entire floor on Thursday afternoon.
According to V V Munglikar Senior inspector the suspect made advancements towards her and both fell in love with each other but unable to bear her demands he killed her. The suspect is married and has three sons.
