Hyderabad, February 28: The second round of the pulse polio programme concluded on Sunday with health authorities administering polio drops to 6,01,927 children in Hyderabad and 6,80,331 children in Ranga Reddy district.
In Hyderabad district, the health officials achieved 91.19 per cent coverage while in Ranga Reddy district, the authorities covered 96.27 per cent of children.
The target for Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy district was 6,60,102 and 7,06,705 children below the age of five years respectively, the district health authorities said.
The health officials have informed that house-to-house administration of polio drops to cover those children who have missed out on Sunday will continue till March 2.
