In Municipal office at Sardar Mahal Puja was performed on 10th February 2013 by installing the photograph Hindu goddess in front of a tree in the office premises in the presence of Municipal officials. In this way an attempt was being made to convert this place into temple. After this report was published, the photo was removed and the paint on the tree was also erased. On the occasion of Dassara, the tree was painted with various colour and a big photograph was put there. It is also reported that goats were slaughtered as offerings to the goddess. There are clear orders of the Supreme Court that no religious rituals should be perform in Govt. offices but the practice is against these orders.
On 12th October, an attempt was made to construct a temple illegally in the premises of A.P. Administrative Tribunal at Purani Havali but police stopped this construction.
