Union Minister of State for Labor& Employment Bandaru Dattatreya said that the Central government’s welfare schemes should be publicized more at the grass root level.
Inaugurating the Regional Workshop on Government of India Welfare Schemes, organized by Directorate of Field Publicity, M/o Information& Broadcasting at CGO Towers today, Dattatraya said Welfare schemes’ information is vital in fostering the development process. He also appreciated the DFP for conducting workshop on various government schemes. The 11-units of the DFP are spreading the message on the welfare schemes at the mandal level, he said. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the central government is focusing on inclusive growth which is vital for the nation’s development, he said.
Dattatreya also said that Schemes like Swachh Bharat, Digital India, Make In India, Skill India and sukanya samriddhi Yojana are playing key role in the nation’s development. The centre is extending full support with financial support to the states. 60% of the funds for each scheme are being provided by the centre, he added. The states’ share in the taxes has been increased to 42% from 32%. Also the 14th Finance Commission funds are being released directly to the local bodies, he said.
Speaking on the occasion, Musheerabad MLA and BJP State President Dr. K. Laxman, said that NDA government is always working for the uplift of the marginalized sections of the society. Laxman requested the DFP and other departments to spread welfare schemes messages more at the rural level.
MLC Ramachandra Rao, Joint Director-DFP M. Devendra, Joint Director, Ministry of Health Anuradha, SBI GM U.N. Maiya and Post Master General, Hyderabad Region, Col. M. Elisha spoke on the various schemes of the Government of India. The Union Minister inaugurated DAVP Exhibition on various schemes implemented by the Government of India. (NSS)
