Bhopal, September 05 (Pervez Bari): Public service delivery week will be observed from September 12 to 18 under the Public Service Delivery Guarantee Act in Madhya Pradesh. During the week, Gram Sabhas will be held at all the villages of Gram Panchayat in order to educate the people about provisions of the Act.
A team of 3-5 members of executive officers-employees at Gram Panchayat level will inform the people about the Act. Village Patwari, Panchayat secretary will compulsorily be members of the team. The team members will be imparted training regarding the Act before September 12.
Besides, directives have been issued to apprise all MP, MLA, Zila Panchayat President and all members, Janpad Panchayat President and all members, at Block Development level Sarpanch, Upsarpanch of the provisions of the Act by inviting them before September 12. They will also be informed about the action taken under the Act so far. All the public representatives will be urged to inform the people about the provisions of the act under which they have rights to avail the services lawfully.
During the period of week, quiz and essay competitions in terms of the Act will be conducted at all middle, high school and higher secondary schools in the State. Directives have also been given to launch the campaign of publicity in collaboration with Jan Abhiyan Parishad and other voluntary organizations in each district. It has been directed that employees of voluntary organisations should be imparted training before September 12. Besides, workshop should also be organised to apprise the voluntary organizations of the Act.
Collector, Chief Executive Officer of Zila Panchayat, Sub-divisional officer, Revenue, Chief Executive Officer Janpad Panchayat, Tehsildar and other senior officers will visit at least five Gram Panchayats and educate the people about the Act during the week.
Public Service Day on September 25
It may be mentioned that Public Service Delivery Guarantee Act-2010 came into effect on September 25, 2010. On first anniversary of the Act, September 25 will be observed as ‘Public Service Day’.
The State Government has issued directives to receive online registration at each district and block development headquarter level on ‘Public Service Day’. Certificates of various services will also be distributed on this day.
