New Delhi: Holding a joint press conference with his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi after summit level talks at Hyderabad House here on Saturday, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said with a view to supporting growth of India, both public and private sectors of Japan would act in unison.
Stating that India and Japan have taken their relationship to a new level and “buds have turned into blossoms”, Prime Minister Abe stressed: “People-to-people relations are important, for which we are extending multiple entry visas.”
Prime Minister Modi also announced that India would extend ‘visa on arrival’ to Japanese citizens, including for business purpose, from March 1. “This is different from the electronic visa facility that is being extended globally,” said Prime Minister Modi.
He declared that Japan would build a convention centre in Varanasi.(ANI)
