Washington: United States President Donald Trump asserted that the public opinion has ‘turned strongly against’ special counsel Robert Mueller and his probe to prove Russia’s alleged role in 2016 presidential election.
Trump took to his Twitter handle to hit on Mueller and stated that the people have turned against the “Rigged Witch Hunt” because they understand “that there was no Collusion with Russia.”
“Public opinion has turned strongly against the Rigged Witch Hunt and the “Special” Counsel because the public understands that there was no Collusion with Russia (so ridiculous), that the two FBI lovers were a fraud against our Nation & that the only Collusion was with the Dems!,” Trump tweeted.

Recently, Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani in an interview to the New York Times stated that public opinion over Mueller’s probe is moving toward Trump “big time.”
Muller has been investigating the possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia in the 2016 presidential election.
As per the recent Politico-Morning Consult polls conducted in the United States, around 36 percent of voters viewed Mueller’s probe in a negative light.
Recently on June 30, Trump said he would discuss Russia’s alleged interference in the presidential election with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin in the summit slated to be held in Finland.
Speaking to reporters aboard the Air Force One, Trump, who is off to New Jersey for the weekend, said, “We don’t want anyone tampering with elections.”
The US intelligence community believes that the Russian government was engaged in electoral interference during the 2016 US presidential elections.
A January 2017 assessment by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) stated that Russian leadership preferred Trump over then-Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and that Putin personally ordered an “influence campaign” to harm Clinton’s electoral chances and “undermine public faith in the US democratic process.
Russia had earlier denied meddling in the US election campaign and Trump called special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe on the Russian interference a “political witch hunt”. (ANI)
