The public grievance cell, set up to hear public complaints regarding the functioning of Minority institutions, conducted its meeting on Monday. The grievance cell held at Hajj house received some complaints regarding Waqf board matters while no complaint was received against Minority Finance Corporation, Urdu Academy, Hajj committee and Christian Finance Corporation.
It must be noted that the then secretary Minority Welfare Mr. Dana Kishore had set up the grievance cell three months ago. Initially several complaints were received but gradually the number of complaints dropped. It has been told that if the grievance cell sees further decline in number of complaints then it will be scrapped.
