At times when incessant rains continues in the city, it is imperative to dispose off the garbage twice daily and spray mosquito control fog in the residential areas.
Municipal Commissioner Krishna Babu had directed all zonal commissioners to supervise garbage clearance particularly during rainy season, and to dispose off the garbage on priority basis from the areas where dumper bins are not installed. He also ordered the high officials of Preventive Health Department to blacklist any contractor if he fails to meet the terms of the agreement of cleaning and disposal of garbage. Despite Municipal Commissioner’s directions the orders are not followed in most of the areas of the city.
Public has urged the municipal corporation to arrange garbage disposal in two shifts daily and ensure spraying of mosquito-control fog in the residential areas.
