Vijayawada, September 08: The Praja Rajyam Party on Tuesday organized a demonstration here in protest against the deteriorating sanitary conditions in the city.
Workers of the party, led by city’s South constituency MLA, Mr Vellampalli Srinivasa Rao, inspected some of the areas of the old city and organised protests raising slogans against the city administration.
Mr Srinivasa Rao told the media that the city’s administration was totally neglecting the sanitation. He said because the drainage system was not being properly maintaining, epidemics were spreading, seriously affecting people’s health. He said the government should immediately intervene and set things right. He has threatened that his party would intensify its stir if immediate action was not taken.
