Hyderabad, January 07: The Praja Rajyam party MLA from Balkonda in Nizamabad district, Mr Anil Kumar, on Thursday was forced to retreat from the protest demonstration for separate Telangana State at Indira Park Dharna Chowk organised by the Telangana Joint Action Committee
As soon as Mr Anil Kumar appeared at the spot to take part in the demonstration, the Telangana activists opposed his presence and raised slogans asking him to “Go Back”. The irate Telangana activists demanded him to leave the place as he was a member of the PRP which was totally opposed to bifurcation of the State. Finding himself in a piquant situation, Mr Anil Kumar left the place disappointed.
Even as the PRP president, Mr K Chiranjeevi, declared that he was committed to the unified Andhra Pradesh, the Telangana protagonists took serious exception to Mr Anil Kumar continuing in the PRP. Though Mr Anil Kumar declared that he belonged to the Telangana PRP earlier, he has been participating in the official party programmes unabated inviting wrath of the separatists.
However, the Banswada MLA, Mr Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, who declared his resignation from the Telugu Desam party, was allowed to participate in the protest.
