PRP to launch statewide stir on people’s issues on Jul 16

Hyderabad, July 11: The opposition Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) today announced that party activists would launch a statewide agitation on people’s issues, including price rise on July 16.

Addressing a press conference here, PRP founder President Chiranjeevi and senior party leader T Devender Goud criticised Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Redy for holidaying in Goa at a time when the people were faced with serious problems, including skyrocketing of prices of essential commodities.

Upset with the ruling Congress hatching a ”political conspiracy” to break opposition parties, the actor-politician alleged that the ruling party resorting to ‘Operation Akarsh’ to wean away leaders from other parties was ‘totally undemocratic.’ The Congress Government should concentrate on resolving people’s issues to attract people into its party, instead of trying to destabilise other parties, they said.
