Visakhapatnam, October 25: Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) president K Chiranjeevi today visited the port city to raise funds for flood relief activities in the four districts of Andhra Pradesh.
Mr Chiranjeevi led a fund collection rally to help the flood ravaged districts.
Speaking after the rally to mediapersons here, he said the state government had failed in taking relief measures to support the flood victims. He claimed that he took up the task of raising the funds to help the affected people. ”If the programme received good response, I would tour in all the districts to raise funds for the flood victims,” he stated.
The party claimed that the event was a big hit as many people donated huge amounts. As many as 200 people attended the dinner party which was hosted by PRP.
Mr Chiranjeevi interacted with IT professionals, party workers and other leaders from the city.
