Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav this morning narrowly escaped from a major accident at Keesara in Medchal district. However, Medchal MLA Sudheer Reddy, who accompanied the Minister suffered simple injuries when a transport lorry hit their car when it was in a stationary position off the highway.
Accompanied by Sudheer Reddy, Talasani was proceeding to Medchal to inaugurate new district offices on the occasion of the first anniversary of the new districts in the State. They made a halt at a roadside dhaba to fresh up before reaching the program venue in Medchal. A Madhya Pradesh lorry with a heavy load of cargo, which was also proceeding towards Medchal, hit the car from behind causing damage to it. As Talasani was out of the car to have a face wash, he escaped unhurt. Sudheer Reddy, who was sitting in the car, received simple injuries due to the impact. The lorry driver was taken into custody and the vehicle was seized. (NSS)
