Telangana Congress senior leader V Hanumatha Rao today expressed grief over tragic death of 15 persons in a gas pipeline blast incident in East Godavari district on Friday morning.
Talking to mediapersons at CLP office here, VH said the State Government should be cautious and provide succor to the victims’ families. Besides taking stringent action against those responsible for the incident, the government should take preventive measures, he said. He also objected to the Gujarat Government taking away the gas from the region, but the government here has failed to protect the poor families nearby. “I will make a visit to the incident spot for taking stock of situation”, Rao said. He also stated that he would raise the issue in Parliament and demand that the Centre take effective preventive measures. (NSS)
