In the wake of alleged attacks on foreigners in the city, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj today asked the TRS government to provide complete protection to the foreigners staying in the twin cities and elsewhere.
Sushma Swaraj reportedly rang up Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and expressed concern over the alleged attacks on foreigners. It may be recalled that a Nigerian was attacked by some people followed by a dispute over car parking at Banjara Hills recently. Sushma is believed to have asked KCR to take all measures to prevent recurrence of such incidents. “Since such incidents will only add salt to wounds, we must be extra cautious”, Sushma suggested. Continuous patrolling on roads and streets and vigilance at all levels avoiding negligence by the police will prove handy, she reportedly opined. Now it is the turn of the State government to increase security at all levels. (NSS)
