Jammu, February 17:Advisors to Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, today asked the local administration to ensure free ‘langar’ and essential items at genuine rates to the passengers stranded at General Bus Stand here due to the closure of Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
Advisors to Mr Abdullah, Mr Mubarak Gul and Mr Devender Rana visited the General Bus Stand here this morning and interacted with the stranded passengers of Kashmir,” an official spokesman here said.
The advisors told passengers that all concerned agencies have been geared up to open the road. ”Divisional and District Administration has also been asked to operate free langer for the passengers and essential items provided to them should be on reasonable and genuine rates,” he informed.
The advisors, however, assured passengers that all possible measures are afoot for their comfort and safe travel to the Valley, while SRTC authorities have been instructed to arrange maximum number of buses for their journey, the spokesman added.
