Protests at Vidyut Soudha paralysis traffic

Agitation against power cuts across the State was in full swing on Wednesday.
Protesting against the menacing power cuts, the main Opposition Telugu Desam and Left parties laid a siege to the Secretariat on Wednesday. On the other hand, activists of the TDP, Left Parties and the TRS also stormed the Vidyuth Soudha in phases.

However, the police arrested the protestors and whisked them away to several police stations in the City. The police also detained TDP MLAs Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Mahender Reddy and Rathnam, who attempted to lay a siege to Vidyuth Soudha. On account of continues dharnas’ at Vidhyuth Soudha, vehicular traffic on the busy national highway remained paralysed for hours.
